Privacy Policy
CHITpass is a wallet-pass campaign service operated by CHIT Group, LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy describes what we process when you claim, hold, or use a pass issued through CHITpass, and when you visit this website.
What we process
- Pass records. Each pass has a random serial number and a record of its current state (for example: issued, redeemed, expired). Passes do not require your name, email address, or account to claim or use.
- Wallet delivery data. To keep a pass up to date, Apple Wallet registers a device token with us and Google Wallet syncs a pass object through the Google Wallet API. These identify a pass installation, not your identity.
- Scan events. When venue staff scan a pass, we record which pass was scanned, at which scan point, and when. This is how campaigns are operated and audited for the venue running them.
- Server logs. Standard web logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept for security and reliability.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not collect payment card details. Ticket purchases, where applicable, happen on the venue’s own ticketing provider.
- We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
- The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Who data is shared with
Pass content and updates flow through Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, subject to Apple’s and Google’s own terms. Campaign results (for example, redemption counts) are shared with the venue or brand running the campaign. Infrastructure providers host our systems under standard data processing terms.
Retention
Pass and scan records are kept for the duration of a campaign and a reasonable period afterward for reporting and audit, then deleted or anonymized. Removing a pass from your wallet stops updates to your device.
Your choices
You can remove a pass from your wallet at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as access, correction, or deletion; we honor applicable requests. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
